Our Story
In 1950, the farmers of El Provencio founded the Local Farm Cooperative Nuestra Señora del Rosario, the first wine cooperative in the area. Four years later, seeing that local wineries could not store all the production, they decided to build the cooperative’s winery.
Canforrales wine, the winery’s flagship, takes its name from a locality in El Provencio and reflects the hard work and self-improvement of the farmers who, experimenting with new grape varieties, managed to improve the quality of the wines over the years.
The current Hospedería Bodega Nuestra Señora del Rosario is not only a tribute to El Provencio’s winemaking past, but a project that seeks to connect with the town’s roots, recovering the original winery building and giving it new life as a unique hotel.
This historic place, where generations of farmers deposited their harvests, now reinvents itself as a space that combines quality, heritage, and tourism promotion, waiting to witness new stories in La Mancha.

Hospedería Bodega Nuestra Señora del Rosario is located in the heart of the Castilla La Mancha Wine Route and we are part of the network of recommended accommodations on this route.
